Our History
Founded in August 2009, Splash Aquatics is a community-rooted, volunteer-driven swim club based in Oʻahu Hawaii that uses the sport of swimming to foster personal growth, discipline, and life-long values in young athletes.
From its humble beginnings at Makiki District Park Pool, Splash has grown to a team of over 100 swimmers, ranging from age 6 to college-aged athletes, now training across three locations: McCully District Park, Manana Military Housing, and Kapāolono District Park.
While still a young program, Splash has earned a strong reputation for excellence, consistently ranking among the Top USA Swimming Clubs in Hawaiʻi. This past spring, Splash placed 6th overall at both the Hawaiʻi Short Course (Feb) and Long Course Championships (July) and 8th out of nearly 60 teams at the Northwest Regional Championships (NWAGR) in Boise, Idaho.
Over the years, Splash swimmers have proudly represented Team Hawaii at the Western Regional Zone Championships, with many progressing to Senior and Age Group Sectionals, Futures Championships, and other high-level competitions—growing the club's presence throughout the Western U.S. Splash swimmers have also earned spots at elite national training camps, including USA Swimming’s Western Zone Select Camp and the National Diversity Select Camp. Dozens of alumni have also gone on to successful collegiate swim careers.
This progress reflects not only the talent of our swimmers but the strength of our coaching team—collectively bringing over 100 years of experience to the deck. Each coach contributes a unique perspective, shaping a holistic and well-rounded approach to training, mentorship, and personal development.
